F430
Finished yet another model for 2006, and keeping on track with about 2 models/year output :) The new Fujimi Ferrari models aren't bad at all. The parts looks sharp, correct ride height, rims and it actually looks like the real car... which is a suprise for a Fujimi kit. Painted with tamiya pure white and detailed with crazy modeler photo-etch parts which made my life a lot easier with the included window masks and metal transfers. Finished the whole thing in about 3 weeks just in time for xmas(i know... i can't believe i could pull it off too)

too bad I don't get to keep it though

吉沢光正 latest work
I was reading Reflect’s work in progress and the skill of the talented sculptor Mitumasa Yoshizawa is just amazing. Based on Shunya Yamashita's illustration of his original character and sculpted by Mitumasa, looks like the new figure is coming along very nicely. Can’t wait to see it finished....just have to get the original this time

I'm getting quite a few emails on how I took the fotos of my models, so I decided to give it a shot and show you guys a simple and effective way to take photos of your work. First of all, I am no expert in photography and you DO NOT need an expensive camera or foto booth to reproduce the same results as seen in my works. The pic below was taken with flash on and you certainly couldn’t do any worse than that.

P1010047.jpg

Materials you will need for the foto booth
1 Poster board $1
2 mirrors covered with aluminum foil $4
1 clamp on desk lamp $8

Yes, those are all you need for a foto booth. As to the camera, almost any point and shoot digi cam will do. Tripod would definitely make your life easier but it is not necessary. Just place your cam on any flat object until you reach the desired height and angle.

Place the model in the middle while using the poster board as a back drop. Put the two reflectors in the sides to get rid of the shadows. The light source should be pointing away from the background and towards the direction of the camera. This should create a nice gradient effect in the background. Now, give it a try~

End result with the same car and camera taken inside the booth.... wallpaper material
